Chris and Mary invite you to visit their Gite or Holiday Cottage for self catering holidays in the Lake District of France in the beautiful Hamlet of Frachis, St Junien Les Combes. Situated near Bellac and only 25 mins from Limoges Airport, in the Limousin area of France, the beautiful fully furnished 3 bedroomed traditional stone cottage, with its own private garden and Farmhouse Gite which is situated next to the main Farmhouse garden, together with shared use of a salt water swimming pool. (10m x 5m). |

The traditional 3 bedroomed Stone Cottage is an 18th Century farmhouse, with traditional stonework and oak-beams. The cottage has its own attractive walled garden and they are both only 15 minutes drive, through picturesque countryside to the lake of Saint Pardoux and its quiet beaches.

Only 5 minutes drive from the market town of Bellac and less than 30 minutes drive from the city of Limoges, its main-line station and Bellegarde Airport. Limoges is a wonderful city to explore, with many fine restaurants, excellent shopping facilities and a wealth of delightful galleries, museums and local outlets for the famous Limoges pottery. In addition, there are a number of local potteries, which are open to visitors and have shops attached selling their products at very reasonable prices. |

The Limousin region, whilst less than
four hours drive south from Paris, is nonetheless largely
unexplored by visitors from overseas. To the French this
area, which is the lake district at the heart of France,
is one of their best kept secrets and a great holiday favourite
for them.

In addition to the many fine, reasonably priced restaurants, there are many sporting activities in the region, including horse riding, fishing, sailing, go-karting and canoeing. There are also many beautiful forest walks within easy reach. The Holiday Cottage has three bedrooms and can sleep six people. The Petite Maison, our second cottage, also has 3 bedrooms but sleeps 7 and has two bathrooms. The rental rates are shown on the holiday page. We very much look forward to hearing from you. |

Golf at Limoges, St. Junien and Mortemart At St. Junien, the 18-hole course meanders through the rolling hills of the Limoges area. This peaceful setting with it's interesting stretches of water, impeccable greens and difficult slopes still challenges golfers of all skill levels.
